For the past ten years, the "Made in France" principle has been experiencing a real expansion within France. LUDIS is a worthy representative of this concept, which is explained to you in this article.
LUDIS INC X RED FIL
One of Ludis's main objectives is to highlight and preserve the know-how , the unique and admirable heritage of French textile manufacturing. It is therefore logical that the Ludis brand has chosen the French clothing manufacturer Fil Rouge for the manufacture of its playsuits. Located in Marseille, this company supports us and demonstrates great expertise in the creation of our original clothing ! From the design office (prototype, pattern making, grading, etc.) to marking (printing) and manufacturing, everything is done on site.
What is a “Made in France” product in the textile industry?
In the texts, a garment is considered Made in France if at least 50% of its cost price (or its added value) was produced in France. Therefore, a piece made from French raw materials, in France can legitimately display the "Made in France" label. However, if different countries are involved in the creation of the piece, the principle of non-preferential origin must be respected to be able to carry the "Made in France" label. In short, the piece must undergo a significant transformation (usually the manufacturing process) in France, to obtain a final product with the label.
Let’s take two examples to be more explicit:
- A brand that makes its clothes in France with fabric from Turkey and finishes (buttons, zippers, etc.) from China can legally claim that its clothes are made in France.
- Conversely, a brand that designs and sketches its clothes in France but makes them in China cannot claim that its clothes are made in France.
Warning! The terms "Designed in France" and "Packaged in France" do not mean that the garment was made in France: don't be fooled ...

The advantages of a “Made in France” product
Choosing an item made in France significantly reduces its carbon footprint but also helps preserve the exceptional know-how we possess in France. Indeed, according to the Independent Federation of Made in France (FIMIF), purchasing French fashion products would help maintain between 55,000 and 160,000 jobs in France . Even if this remains a far cry from the 600,000 jobs that the textile industry had 30 years ago, let's no longer hesitate to support this sector which ensures respectable working conditions from an ethical point of view and which offers us high-quality products!

By purchasing French menstrual panties, you're supporting local businesses. Period panties aren't just sanitary protection; they're underwear. The textile and lingerie sector is one of the most competitive. It's dominated by companies that choose to manufacture their products in Asia, such as China or Bangladesh. This allows them to set low prices. However, the products are much higher quality than those produced in France .
Ecological and social issues
Since French menstrual panties are produced in France, transporting the goods to your home or store is much less polluting . In addition, this way, you support skilled craftsmen who work in good conditions. Indeed, in Asian countries, employees are very poorly paid and work in deplorable conditions.
