Fashion houses that prioritize innovation and global expansion are represented within the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. It strives to spread French fashion culture, which prioritizes haute couture and originality by combining centuries-old techniques with cutting-edge innovations.
As a result, it helps make Paris more comfortable with its status as a global fashion center. More than a hundred companies from around the world are members of the Federation. Three distinct trade unions are represented: Haute Couture, Women's Fashion, and Men's Fashion.
Governance
The Federation's supposed four-year duration . It is structured into three union chambers and governed by a board of directors and an executive committee. This year marks the 150th anniversary of Celle de la Haute Couture, the pioneering house of the industry.

History of Haute Couture and Fashion
A historic institution, the Federation changed its name in June 2017 to become the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion. A simple yet timely moniker that reflects the Federation's global reach, its exploration of uncharted stylistic territory, and, above all, the very essence of Haute Couture. In 2018, we will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the founding of our organization, the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture et de la Confection pour Dames et Fillettes.

Rising Brands
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode's primary mission is to help new fashion brands emerge. It helps them grow before and after their entry into the official calendar and increases their visibility in institutional, commercial, technological, and media spheres. Today, all identified emerging brands are grouped under the banner " SPHERE - Emerging Brands Initiative."
The exhibition room
Starting in January 2020, the FHCM will be supported by LE DEFI and the SPHERE Paris Fashion Week® Showroom by L' Oréal Paris . SPHERE continues its policy of supporting new creations by bringing together brands invited to the official calendar or awarded for their originality and growth potential. The showroom will be held at the Palais de Tokyo from September 28 to October 4, 2022, for its women's fashion session, and will also be available digitally.
The International Fashion Conference and Exhibition, Hyères
Since 2003, the Hyères Festival has counted the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode as a partner . With the help of DEFI and the involvement of Givaudan, it organizes an event called " Rencontres Internationales de la Mode " every year to facilitate discussions on current issues and compare the points of view of industry professionals.
Skills development and training
Both schools have made significant contributions to the fashion industry, one focusing on business, the other on the arts, and the other on world travel. Since 1927, ECSCP has represented excellence "à la française," and since 1986, IFM has been at the forefront of fashion industry management training. Following their merger, a new, open and forward-thinking fashion education institution has opened in Paris.
At the meeting, representatives of the École de la Chambre Syndicale and the International Fashion Institute of Management declared: "Paris now has an institution that has the ambition to establish itself as the best fashion institution in the world, based on a unique triptych of management, technique and creation that covers all levels of study, from the Advanced Skills Certificate to the doctorate , including bachelor's and master's degrees, and housed in a brand new, open and innovative place that actively promotes.
